    Description

    Lot 3 WW2 WWII 1944 Tin Can Cartridges Aircraft Engines, KILGORE MFG CO , Ship USPS Priority mail.
    You are bidding on three old and original empty tin containers with a paper label stating it contained 20 cartridges used to start aircraft engines.  They are dated Oct. 1944 and have a U.S. Navy emblem on the label.  They were made by Kilgore in Tipp City, Oh.  Tins are in reasonable  condition with the paper label missing a bit on one as seen in the scan. The lid on one can is slightly bent but still closes securely.  I acquired these as war surplus from the Marine Base in Barstow, California in the 50’s. A great addition for World War 2 memorabilia collectors.
