    Grouping for Named 2nd Ar.. Div.. Soldier - Photos, Docs, Souvenirs & More
    The lot consists of items belonging to a Oliver W. Davis, Tech. 5 (33719484), 2nd Ar.. Div.. during his time overseas during WWII and items after the war.
    • Service Record Book for Oliver Walsh Davis, Tech. 5.  The book has service, family and other information pertaining to Davis.  Within the book there are maps of where he spent his training in the U.S. (Fort Knox & Camp Chaffee, Arkansas) and a map of his service overseas.  The covers and pages are all in excellent condition.  The book measures approx. 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".
    • Paper Items pertaining to Davis - Booklet, THE AMENDED GI BILL OF RIGHTS; Various documents regarding Davis's separation from the Ar... Services and other paper documents that can be seen in the images of the listing.  One of the documents is a Cust. Dec. of items Davis took home after the war (7.65 Bel P & 10 yds of Ger Parachute Silk).  All have some varying wear, fading and blemishing.
    • 9 1/4" x 6" scrap book filled with personal paper items belong to Davis.  Items were photographed and can be reviewed in the images within the listing.
    • 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" Nice (France) souvenir pennant.  Embroidered on both sides and has some wear, fading and discoloration throughout.  All stitching appears to be sound.
    • Welcome to the Riviera Booklet (Nice, France) - Covers and pages have some light wear and fading.  Measures approx. 3 3/4" x 6 1/2".
    • Small 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" Pocket Guide to FRANCE - Covers and pages have some very light wear and fading throughout.  Contains 72 pages and was printed by the W.. And Navy Departments, Washington, D.C..
    • Europe Road Map Series of France / Army Map Service Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army - Contains two large 38" x 18" fold out maps of France.  The covers and map within are all in excellent condition.  All have very little wear and light fading / blemishing.
    • 26 qty (7" x 5") photos - Images are a variety of Post War (R&R) images of U.S. soldiers and various buildings and other landscape shots.  All of the backs are unmarked.  All of the photos have some light wear, fading and a slight curl to the photos.
    • 4 qty (3 1/2" x 2 1/4") negatives of images that are part of the smaller and larger printed photos.
    • 13 qty (4 7/8" x 3 1/2") photos - all family pictures of Davis and his family.  Images are unmarked on the back.  All have some light wear and fading.
    • 10 qty (4 1/8" x 3 1/16") photos - Candid shots of soldiers after WWII enjoying some leave time while overseas.  All have some very light wear and discoloration.
