. The Thornton & Minor Clinic was established in 1877 and specialized in rectal and colonic disorders. At the time this item was produced, the clinic operated its own six-story, 300-bed hospital!
This item
measures approximately 32 mm (1-1/4") in diameter.
This item is in very fine condition, with very light actual wear (if any), toning, and limited soiling. The aluminum collar has a very good silver color, and it is extremely bright. The cent would be described by a coin collector as 'red and brown' due to toning with retention of some of the original reddish copper color.
The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description. NOTE: The collar is much lighter in color and much brighter than is apparent in the photos, with a very bright silver color.
