    Description

Up for bid is a grouping belonging to a member of the 38th Bomb Group in the Headquarters squadron.  Contains 2 khaki dress shirts, both with Air Corps patches and rank chevrons, 5th and 13th AF patches, Sgt chevrons and overseas stripes, 3 V mail letters in their envelopes, discharge wallet card, magazine cut out featuring the man, uniform pins and a neat Australia boomerang painted souvenir type pin, 2 different church programs from overseas (New Guinea and Austrailia), 2 papers on speaking to island natives, about 28 original photographs including one nice cannon armed B-25 in flight, about about 17 letters and envelopes.  A sample is provided.  I did not go through them all, but the few I did some have photographs inside which are referenced in the letter and then talking about what was sent/what he could use to be sent/time on the various islands, etc.  This soldier definitely saw many islands during his time in the pacific!  Would be a good research project with some nice pieces to connect the dots.
