    Coin Highlights:
    This is the first of five issues for 2015 in the continuing series commemorating the National parks and monuments of America. It is called the America the Beautiful series, and these coins are 3-inches round, and are five full troy ounces of .999 fine silver minted by the United States Mint in Philadelphia.
    This particular issue commemorates the Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska. The Homestead Act of 1862 was one of the most significant and enduring events on the westward expansion of the United States. By granting 160 acres of free land to claimants, it allowed nearly any man or woman a fair chance to claim land and start a homestead.
