Description
Ducati Darmah project bike.NOTE: This bike does not run and will need an engine rebuild.
I have too many projects and have decided to let this one go.
I purchased it a few years ago with the intent of making a custom cafe racer.
The Bad: The rear piston has a hole in it. Engine will need a rebuild.
The Good:
1. Clean title. Currently registered as Non-Op in California.
2. Original bike with all original factory parts. Only missing parts are the side covers.
3. Starter motor works well.
4. Tank and fenders appear to be original and free of dents and rust. Inside of tank is clean.
5. Original Conti silencers, usable but will need to be rechromed.
6. Front rim is a Speedline brand. (Note: This wheel should be replaced for safety
reasons as they were recalled when some defected castings were found to crack.
It can be checked by magnafluxing if you want to try to save it, but I do not guarantee it.)
Rear rim is an FPS DUCATI brand and looks usable.
7. Original Brembo front brakes work well and I have replaced the brake fluid. Discs may
be usable, but will have to be measured for minimum thickness allowance.
8. Original Brembo rear brake works. Disc may be usable, but will have to be measured for minimum
thickness allowance.
9. Speedometer shows 48k Kilometers but I cannot guarantee that.
10. Original Marzocchi front forks.
11. Frame and fork steering stops are intact and in good condition. This bike shows no evidence
of ever being down.
12. Engine appears to have never been take apart.
13. Original 32mm Del Orto carbs PHF32CD
This would make a great project for someone who wants to restore a classic bike that is a whole
lot of fun to ride. I've owned several square case 900s and they never fail to bring a smile to
your face when you ride them.
When restored, these are easily worth 3 times the starting bid.
PLEASE REMEMBER: This bike does not run and will need an engine rebuild.
