“Where were you in ’62?” was the slogan for the most iconic car movie of all time American Graffiti. Just think this 1962 Chevrolet Impala would have been on the show room of a new Chevrolet dealer! This Impala was purchased on June 12, 1962 by a gentleman named Earnest Calkins from Blue Springs Nebraska. It was purchased from KOONS Chevrolet in Wymore Nebraska. We have the original Bill of Sale!
The drive train on the Impala is ALL ORIGINAL and consists of a 235 CU IN inline six-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed on the column manual transmission. The engine is running perfectly and the transmission shifts properly. Mechanically the Impala is running perfectly and all the lights, horn, blinkers, etc. are working properly. You can have a BLAST driving this Impala home!
The Impala has had one repaint approximately 30 years ago and still looks extremely nice. Excepting some minor denting on the rear stainless steel all the bright work is excellent. The interior on the Impala is ALL ORIGINAL and in very good condition with only the seats showing wear. This Impala is plenty good to take to your local outdoor car shows and cruise nites. The crowd will be amazed how nice this Impala is for an unrestored automobile!
FINAL THOUGHTS: This is like buying a car that has been in a time capsule. The Impala drives out perfectly and it is nearly impossible to find a car this nice with this great history.
